Texas English Emergent Bilingual (EB) students/ English Learners (ELs) in grades 2 to 12 can use Summit K12 to complete language assessments and interactive literacy lessons.

Students

All EB/EL scholars in Texas grades 2 to 12 are granted access to Summit K12 and can log in through their Clever Student Portal.
EL Point People
-
All Texas ELL Point People can access their Summit K12 School Admin Account directly at lms.summitk12.com with their IDEA email address. For password and support information contact the Special Programs English Language Learning Team.

Testing Coordinator

All Texas Testing Coordinators can access their Summit K12 School Admin Account directly at lms.summitk12.com with their IDEA email address. For password and support information Testing Coordinators should contact the Special Programs English Language Learning Team.

Teachers

Designated teachers and co-teachers are appointed by the campus EL Point Person. Teachers can login to Summit K12 directly at lms.summitk12.com with their IDEA email address. For password and support information teachers should contact the campus Testing Coordinator or EL Point Person.

- Confirm student is coded correctly in PowerSchool. Student must be coded (1) Identified As EB/EL
- Please wait at least 24-48 hours after making any changes to student information in PowerSchool for them to appear on your student list in Summit and have the app appear in Clever.
A student has the app in Clever, but they are unable to access the testing materials?
- Testing Coordinator MUST unlock the designated pretest for all students.
- If during the actual testing window, a student is not able to access their assessment, the teacher of a class, support teacher of a class, school admin, or district admin may unlock assessments for a class.
When can an assessment be unlocked?
- If a Testing Window has been set by your district, you will only be able to unlock the assessment within the window
A teacher is missing students in Summit K12?
- Ensure the Testing Coordinator or EL Point Person has assigned the students to your class.
