Can students use their technology over summer?
- YES, Students can continue to use can use their IDEA username and password to access assigned learning apps in Clever throughout the summer from any device.
- Requests from students who need to take IDEA devices over summer should be directed to their campus computer technician and APO.
Can staff and students log in to Clever over summer?
- YES, Students can continue to use can use their IDEA username and password to access assigned learning apps in Clever throughout the summer from any device.

What resources can I share with families to help students log in over summer?
- Refer students and families to Students and families the IDEA website for up to date information and guides all year.

I am a campus leader or front office staff, can I keep using my technology equipment over summer?
- YES, Campus leaders and front office staff working on site through summer can plan to keep their laptop over summer unless one of the following exceptions applies:
- Staff member is transferring to another IDEA location
- Staff member leaving IDEA Public Schools
- Staff member has a leased device that is up for renewal

All campus staff member MUST have their devices checked out via Asset Panda.
I am a teacher, what should I do with my IDEA laptop at the end of the school year?
- Teachers MUST have their staff laptop checked by the campus computer technician as part of the sign-out process before they leave for summer.
I am a teacher, should I keep my technology equipment over summer?
- NO, teachers MUST return their laptop at the end of the school year if one of the following situations applies:
- Teacher is transferring to another IDEA location
- Teacher leaving IDEA Public Schools
- Teacher has a leased device that is up for renewal
I am a teacher attending training or professional development over summer, can I take my IDEA laptop with me?
- YES, teachers wishing to use their staff laptop over summer must check-in and check-out the device with their campus computer technician as part of the end of year sign-out process. These requests should be reserved for the following situations:
- Teacher is attending professional development over summer that requires use of their staff laptop
- Teacher is writing curriculum or performing other work over summer that require the use of their staff laptop
- NOTE: Additional work requirements must comply with all HR and Business Office policies.
I am returning my technology equipment for summer, what needs to be turned in?
- All devices that were checked out to you this school year (laptop) and the charger.
Where do I turn in my technology equipment before I leave for summer?
- Ask your campus business clerk or computer technician for specific instructions for returning and storing your devices over summer.
Can I login to my staff email or files (OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, the HUB, etc) over summer?
- YES, you can sign into your IDEA Public Schools Microsoft account on any device. Staff members are responsible for backing up their own data before all returns. Click here to learn how to sign into your Microsoft Account on any device.
What if my password expires over summer?
- All staff can reset their own password using their My Account portal. Click here to learn how to reset your password.
I purchased technology using my TCP funds, can I keep them with me over summer or if I transfer?
- YES, you may keep these devices with you as long as you work for IDEA Public Schools.
Should teachers archive their Class Teams at the end of the school year?
- They can. Otherwise Teams will be automatically archived after the rollover in preparation for next year. Inactive Teams are automatically deleted after 180 of no activity. Learn more about archiving and automatic deletion here TEAMS: HOW-TO Archive Classes for Teachers
