Renaissance: Leader Guide
IDEA uses Renaissance Learning (AR & STAR) to access Literacy, ELA, and Math curriculum. Teachers and students have access to three key software programs within Renaissance Learning (AR & STAR): AR (Accelerated Reading),and Ren. STAR Reading & Math Assessments. Renaissance Learning (AR & STAR) can be accessed through Clever.
Starting August 1st, 2023, scholars and staff will no longer have access to MyOn digital library. This is
due to various reasons such as cost-saving measures, misuse, and the need to have scholars return to
reading physical books to strengthen their actual reading abilities.

Who has access?
- All IDEA Teachers, AR Zone Facilitators & Co-Teachers and students grades 1-8 have access to Renaissance within Clever.
Renaissance access includes:

- Ren. Star Assessments

Campus & HQ Leaders
- Principals, APIs, Interventionists and Regional Coaches have broader access to campus reporting data via their IDEA Staff & Leader Portal Clever.
How to Login with Clever (Principals, APIs, Interventionists and Regional Coaches)
NOTE: This is different from how teachers log in.
Leaders can access Renaissance from Clever anytime by logging into their Clever account and clicking on the icon from their portal.
To access Renaissance leaders will first need to add the app to their Clever portal. Start by logging in to Clever.
1. Go to Clever.
2. Click Staff & Leader Login
3. Enter your username and password.
- Username: Enter your IDEA email

Password: This is unique and set by you
- NOTE: If it is your first time logging in you will need to know your staff ID number or use the password reset function to set your unique password.

4. In your Clever Portal, click the Renaissance icon.
How to access AR or Ren. Star Assessments
- In the Renaissance app, click on your desired application.
